Netaji

One question disturbing me is:'why did Subash seek help from Japan, an imperialist power during Indian independence struggle and the contemporary World War 2nd, against another imperialist power Britain?' I'm writing this about means not that I am having dislike or disrespect for him but trying to answer a controversy I faced about a man I love the most. He was one of the greatest patriots the world history had ever witnessed. Though I refused to answer this question in debates with my close acquaintances, I, inside was deeply thinking over that every time. I can't arrive at any decision maybe because of lack of knowledge on history. But all of us know that imperialistic Japan was then mainly aiming at expansion of its territory by annexations and accused of unleashing suicidal plane attacks over US, UK, France (of course was the western countries too, though claiming themselves the 'peace-makers'). Netaji' astoundingly heroic measures for the sake of his nation were timeless. His escape from the prison house in Kolkata and reaching Germany for help and then Japan were on such a blistering pace that the British didn't know he had escaped until the western media announced it. But some statements show that Netaji was feeling guilty later about his wrong choice of falling in with the eastern imperialist on seeing the Japanese cruel atrocities in Andaman and Nicobar islands which was the first "free" part of India. It was of such extent that it made even the British seem almost civilized. Strong evidence are there to confirm that Netaji, after the Andaman had fallen to Japan, had to goad Gen.Tojo to devolve it to Indian administration with plans he himself had drawn up to implement afterwards. But when it had finally happened, it was with hard caveats that Netaji couldn't bear with the disappointment given by Japan and flew to Singapore under the pretext of ill-health. India with all its mighty extent, huge Man-power and rainfall through the year, (could) have attracted the sight of the 'Land of Rising Sun' to get involved in driving the British away. Most historic men had always been blunder in the actions as their immense love to the nation had hidden their sight. Whatever it is, leaders Gandhi, Nehru did not provide moral support to this true man whose efforts for the country were incredibly patriotic not cowardly like some drama players screaming behind the screen of 'ahimsa'. The withdrawal of support by Gandhi to INA too was somewhat reasonable--a known enemy is better than the new enemy. It is also affirmed that Netaji was present in disguise on the death funeral of Nehru in 1965 despite the fact that Nehru government had been ready to hand over Subash, the war criminal to the English. But the Valor of Bose was rightly displayed by the then British prime minister Clement Atlee saying, "The British quit India spurred by fears of the 'spark' that Netaji had lit among Indian soldiers"
