Need for change
Changes needed
Education is not (merely) a search for varied sciences and super-imposing many number of facts one can in mind but its a practice to focus the mental and physical strength of a student into a way and the 'way' can be anything the learner decides to. To put in other words it's aim is to regulate the thinkings to a streamlined path and the path is moral, scientific and humane. That command over mind is essential according to Vivekananda to gather information when one is in need of.
'Mahakavi' Bharathiyar had a goal of nationalist education and amazingly he had given a shape to it in papers which was only a dream in many leader's minds. He planned a full syllabus and system where it is the indigenous languages that have to be predominant. People have to be self-dependent by having a unique talent for themselves. This is what he expected the new generation growers become into.
Sadhguru once quoted: "Everyone has their own unique identity and they are destroying it in the attempt of imitating others". Education should never be Private and treated like a product bought with cash. It's completely wrong to have a class privileged to learn something which the unprivileged cannot. The subjects have to be general at school level and elective in higher studies. All schools are to be made public sector in which private investment can be allowed. All efforts are vain if the student is not taught how to find the contents in real life. Every course should have an outcome. But there should be no examination and if not examination shouldn't decide one's place in higher studies.

PRELIMINARY HISTORY LESSONS
Vedic history, The Idigasa, Buddhist history, Rajaput history, The Aryans, The Harappan and Mohenjadro civilisation, The Tamil kingdoms are the chapters to be preached with extensive care. Also there is need for special part in history of the place where the university is located. These have to be introduced in very young ages. The heroics and glory of Asoka, Rama, Vikramaditya, Arjuna have to be instilled in young minds. The world history including that of Americans, Arabian, English, Egyptian, Greek, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Sumerian with their past and modern records has to be discussed. So most of these are already there in the texts.. Then what's the verdict? You ask. First its the language. And the most important thing is that Histories should be dealt with centered and unbiased approach and it is wrong to personify a character as a supreme figure in the minds of youth. Every human being has ones own black side and it shouldn't be hidden as it equals the refusal of truth. Truth should Triumph, isn't it? It is the learner who have to develop a view himself about the figure or incident he is reading about.
EARTH GEOGRAPHY AND INDIAN GEOGRAPHY
Formation of the globe and the universe, the solar system, the stars and their effect on human beings and animals are to be dealt with lots of pictorial representation and instruments. Next, the knowledge of seven continents and important nations in it, it's population, flora and fauna, agriculture, religion, economics, ports etc.. is important. Also the presence of Indians in foreign countries and their occupation, brain drain, state there has to be let known. The Indian relief and drainage, mountains, holy places etc are important to be placed. The existence of 'Kumari Kandam' in the Indian ocean is to be given a portion. Students have to be made familiar to the abundant wealth of Indian nation and knowledge of ancestors plus the water drainage master plans of ancient Indian people. All these are part of making them patriotic. These lessons are necessarily taught with the help of big real-scale world and Bharat maps.
